Sailability Greater Tamps Bay’s mission is to provide affordable accessible sailing activities and education.  Sailability focuses on community integration to improve the quality of life for all involved.  Sailability can provide a starting point for your introduction into sailing, racing and fun on the water. We welcome all new interested beginner sailors, even if you have never sailed.  Everyone will have the opportunity to enjoy the sport of sailing, from the young to the old of all abilities. 

To these ends, Sailability’s  past, current and planned activities (carried out by volunteers) shall strive ……..

·         To be an innovative leader in the area of accessible sailing program and to be a model for other like programs throughout Florida and the United States.

·         To promote the benefits of accessible sailing as a means of integrating the disabled and able-bodied communities into a society of one.

·         To increase recreation, independence, motivation and inspiration among people who have a disability to improve their quality of life.

Sailability was founded in 2001 and has a rich history of making it possible for the handicap to enjoy a day of sailing in Clearwater.  Access Dinghies were designed to appeal to that huge majority of the world's population who would love to have a go at sailing, but find it too difficult or uninviting to do so.  Whether as a recreation, a competition sport or a therapeutic activity; the Access Dinghy design features allow total novices of any ability to sail with little or no effort regardless of the conditions.
